BIO
Lavonne Hall was born and raised in New York City. She has always had a love for photography. Started out as the yearbook photographer in elementary school. From then on she has joined other extra-curricular photography related activities in every school she has attended including university. She studied photography and film at Fordham University. While attending Fordham, she interned at MTV and assisted a paparazzi photographer. From the late 80’s to mid 90’s she has had many freelance gigs with MTV and various nightclubs photographing an array of performers.
In the late 90’s she had traveled to parts of Australia, Asia and Europe. During this time, she had decided to change directions and photograph landscapes and anything associated with traveling. Although she is trying a different path in her career, she still enjoys photographing people, portraits and performers.
After her travel excursions, she volunteered at the International Center of Photography helping students in the darkroom, classes and the digital lab. She is currently working as a digital lab assistant & teaching at the International Center of Photography. She’s also freelancing as a digital artist and photographer.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Educated in traditional and digital camera formats, EyeLike Digital Back, multiple darkroom and digital techniques, knowledge in lighting devices, scanners and large format printers. Operate Macintosh and Windows computers. Use of Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, ImageReady, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fetch, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, iLife, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Entourage and Outlook. In charge of the productivity of the digital lab, classrooms and office. Prepare computers and classrooms for new terms. Install and update new software. Test out new equipment. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Calculate register’s weekly cash. Calibrate monitors and printers. Operate a variety of scanners, printers, digital and video cameras.
